Construction Laborer

About the role

Department/Division: Field Services. Reports to: Field Services Manager. Location: Salina, KS. Position type/hours: Full-time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Shift: 1st. Overtime: As required. Travel requirement: Regional travel required. FLSA status: Non‑exempt. In this role you'll be exclusively installing Pella windows and doors in residential and residential‑style commercial settings. The work varies from trim carpentry to operating boom lifts on commercial sites, requiring quick thinking and adaptability to keep projects on schedule while delivering a premium customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Install windows and doors in a residential and residential‑style commercial environment
• Complete jobs onsite to Pella installation guidelines and customer satisfaction
• Manage time and materials to stay on schedule
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to keep everyone on the same page

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1‑2 years of residential construction and/or remodeling experience
• Clean driving record
• Basic construction‑related math skills
• Basic computer skills
• OSHA certified (preferred)
• Finish carpentry experience (preferred)
• Frequently lift and/or move 8‑foot door panels without assistance
• Frequently handle 36‑inch wide sashes without assistance
• Regularly lift 80 lb from floor level several times a day without assistance
• Handle heavy oversized glass
• Frequently work from ladders up to 30 ft in the air and/or scaffolding
• Regularly required to sit, stand, and lift
• Exposed to weather‑related conditions and in‑home customer environments
