Construction Laborer

Description A construction laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor for highway and site construction projects. This position may operate hand power tools. Job Duties Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor for construction projects for grading, stone, concrete, paving, and utility division.Shovel asphalt into construction area.Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.Excavate and fills trenches and ditchesFine grade fill to grades given by foreman.Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials.Material handling and storage.Load and unload trucks.Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks.Other duties as assigned.
