Construction Internship Summer 2026
Description
Hoar is recruiting qualified applicants for its Internship Program for the Fall 2026 term. This position offers exposure to estimating, project management, and the field.
Responsibilities
- Gaining an understanding of the construction process
- Participating in quantity takeoff/quantity estimating
- Working with the submittal process: maintaining appropriate logs, reviewing and approving shop drawings and submittals
- Preparing transmittals for distribution for project documentation
- Aiding in jobsite setup, permitting, and closeout
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science
- Maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
- Be able to work 40 hours per week during the spring semester
- Have completed the freshman year of college
- Desire to pursue a career in the construction industry upon graduation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver's License
