Description

Hoar is recruiting qualified applicants for its Internship Program for the Fall 2026 term. This position offers exposure to estimating, project management, and the field.

Responsibilities

  • Gaining an understanding of the construction process
  • Participating in quantity takeoff/quantity estimating
  • Working with the submittal process: maintaining appropriate logs, reviewing and approving shop drawings and submittals
  • Preparing transmittals for distribution for project documentation
  • Aiding in jobsite setup, permitting, and closeout

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science
  • Maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Be able to work 40 hours per week during the spring semester
  • Have completed the freshman year of college
  • Desire to pursue a career in the construction industry upon graduation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
