Construction Inspector w/Local Agency Experience

About the role

Work with an outstanding company to provide diverse professional staff to major public works projects including transit, rail, aviation, and water/wastewater conveyance systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure they meet required standards.
• Issue permits and make recommendations for improvements based on inspection findings.
• Communicate with contractors and clients to resolve issues and address concerns.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to inspections and project progress.

Requirements

• Experience in the Seattle area preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction inspection.
• Current certification as a Construction Inspector preferred.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
