About the role
The role involves traffic planning and design, focusing on developing and implementing strategies to improve road safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation planning, engineering, and design.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement traffic flow optimization plans
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to inform design decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success
- Prepare and present reports and presentations to clients and internal teams
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in traffic planning and design
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in traffic planning and design
- Proficiency in traffic simulation software and GIS tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Professional certifications in traffic engineering or related fields preferred
- Experience working on large-scale transportation projects
- Knowledge of traffic control devices and signage systems
Skills
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
- Experience with traffic signal design and intersection analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
