About the role

Techno is seeking an Inspector to support a project with NYCDEP, NR-111. This individual will oversee construction activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and NYCDEP requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect daily construction activities for compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Monitor contractor work, document field observations, and maintain accurate daily reports.
  • Verify materials, quantities, and workmanship meet project specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and NYCDEP representatives to resolve field issues.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Experience inspecting civil, utility, water, sewer, or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, plans, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • NYCDEP project experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on fresh water reservoir projects or water treatment/storage facilities.

Pay

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $45-$65/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
