Construction Inspector - DC Engineering Inspections
About the role
DC Engineering Inspections, founded in 2015, offers high quality engineering services with a focus on project and client objectives. Our team includes experienced Engineers and Construction professionals who inspect residential buildings, community centers, subdivisions, mid and high-rise buildings, commercial and industrial facilities throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. We work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver precise solutions.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Maintain quality control of construction work.
- Approve or reject construction materials and workmanship.
- Investigate and resolve construction problems.
- Prepare reports and documentation.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors, and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in construction, engineering, and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Independent and critical thinking abilities.
- The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management.
- Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally.
- Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of construction codes and standards.
- Ability to identify and correct construction defects.
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $75k-$100k.
Schedule
The position is hybrid and based in dCEI’s Marlton office with travel in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
