Construction Inspector Bridge
About the role
This opportunity is with WSP, a leading engineering firm in New England. Our local construction management division and inspection team has been growing for over 25 years, working on projects like the Missisquoi Bay Bridge replacement, the Green Line Extension, and the Mount Washington Hotel.
Responsibilities
- Interface with contractor's supervisors to determine and monitor daily work.
- Complete daily reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities.
- Help coordinate independent material sampling and testing, or perform tests periodically.
- Maintain traffic and take and compile photographs for tracking of daily progress.
- Help update red-line drawings using Bluebeam.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 5 years applicable experience
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn how to read plans and specifications, or the aptitude to learn
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements
- Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
- Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems
- Knowledge of Bluebeam
- ACI, NETTCP certification or ability to attain within 3 months of hiring

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The position can be based out of Portland, Augusta, Eliot, ME, or Merrimack, NH.
