Construction Inspector
WSP USA is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Program and Construction Management team in Columbia, Maryland. The role supports Construction Management and Inspection services for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects in Charles County, including water distribution systems, treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, and pump stations.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes; maintain up-to-date project records.
- Review Contractor submittals, requests for information, change order requests, and as-built drawings.
- Measure and record pay items.
- Attend job progress meetings.
- Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to the Owner.
- Collaborate with team members, utilities, and personnel from state, local, and federal agencies.
- Demonstrate independent and effective problem-solving and decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Water/Wastewater/Stormwater pumping stations and treatment plants.
- Experience in field inspection or construction supervision of facilities projects.
- High School Diploma.
- Knowledge and experience in ASTM, ACI, and other construction testing requirements, as well as construction inspection procedures, methodologies, and safety.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Pay
Expected salary range: $72,500 – $84,900, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
