About the role
The role involves traffic planning and design, focusing on developing efficient and sustainable transportation solutions. Successful candidates will contribute to projects that enhance urban mobility and environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement traffic flow optimization strategies
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to inform design decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project goals align with community needs
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and internal teams
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in traffic planning and design
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in traffic planning and design
- Proficiency in traffic simulation software and GIS tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience working on public transportation systems
- Knowledge of traffic engineering standards and best practices
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in traffic simulation software (e.g., CORSIM, VISSIM)
- Experience with GIS and mapping tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Strong understanding of traffic flow theory and urban planning principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
