Responsibilities
- Aid the Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and/or Director in extending clients' and owners' project management capabilities throughout the design and construction phases of buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.
- Engage in a broad spectrum of project activities from inception to completion, including construction, startup, acceptance, turnover, and closure.
- Utilize project management tools, techniques, procedures, and processes to ensure project objectives are met or exceeded.
- Maintain oversight of construction progress against contractors' published schedules and quality control standards.
- Conduct inspections for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural building systems as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Collaborate on solutions and interface with owners and leadership to communicate project status and build relationships.
- Represent the company and participate in owner events as needed.
- Advocate for the owner and provide recommendations based on the owner's best interests.
- Assist in developing project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
- Facilitate the implementation of the project control-developed project plan.
- Develop and implement the project quality plan, including quality control and assurance during design, construction, and commissioning.
- Select and evaluate design/construction resources and assist in negotiations.
- Participate in client/owner meetings as requested.
- Coordinate furniture fixtures/equipment requirements and ensure their integration into the project.
- Review project drawings and specifications, providing feedback as necessary.
- Propose subcontractor buy-outs, review change orders, address RFIs, and monitor submittal statuses.
- Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and quality for deviations and corrective actions.
- Provide timely inspection reports and notices to all stakeholders.
- Inform direct reports about project status, risk issues, and corrective actions.
- Adhere to and participate in Raba Kistner Health and Safety and BBS programs, setting a good safety example.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years of experience in construction management.
- A current valid state-issued driver's license and compliance with company's auto insurance requirements.
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work in teams across various organizational levels.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Self-motivation and a strong attendance record.
- Leadership and decision-making skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours.
