Duties
- Document compliance status with contract schedules, specifications and shop drawings and reports potential noncompliance as directed.
- Completes daily field report.
- Observe and inspect construction to document compliance status and report or escalate as directed by Reclamation officials without supervising federal employee or contractors.
- Performs work as directed.
Qualifications
- HS/GED Degree with minimum additional experience of 5 year(s) in Construction Inspection Experience required.
- Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat skills.
Other
- Required Certifications: OSHA 35Health and Safety Considerations: Reclamation Safety and Health Standards Training – to be provided by Reclamation
- Required Safety Gear: Hard hat, safety boots, protective glasses, hearing protection will be provided by Reclamation for inspection of construction sites
- Safety Gear Use: While on construction site
- Physical requirements: Work requires frequent walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and frequently may require more than eight hours in a day. Work in adverse weather conditions is required. Work involves walking on uneven ground, raw and finished water pipeline alignments including trenches, descending and climbing ladders to inspect structures that may be in confined spaces such as tanks and vaults, water treatment plants and other specialized projects as part of the regional water system and facilities.
