Construction Inspector

What You'll Do

• Inspect roadway, bridge, utility, drainage, and other infrastructure construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
• Monitor contractor operations and document construction progress throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform construction materials testing including concrete, soils, aggregate, and asphalt testing
• Maintain accurate field records, test results, and quantity calculations
• Cookordination with contractors, project owners, material suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Interpret construction plans, specifications, and applicable standards
• Support project quality, safety, and compliance requirements
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors when assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience performing construction inspection and materials testing on transportation, utility, or other civil infrastructure projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
