Responsibilities
- Verify all construction work meets approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Monitor the implementation of construction drawings.
- Identify and document any deviations or non-conformance issues.
- Recommend corrective actions.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and standards on the construction site.
- Conduct regular safety audits.
- Assist in tracking project timelines and milestones.
- Prepare progress reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction crews.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of transportation construction experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Civil Inspector/Engineer with a focus on heavy highway work.
- Familiarity with local construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to earthworks construction and site development.
- Attention to detail, proactive issue identification and resolution, outdoor work capability, and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
