Construction Inspector

Responsibilities

• Verify all construction work meets approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards
• Monitor the implementation of construction drawings
• Identify and document any deviations or non-conformance issues
• Recommend corrective actions
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and standards on the construction site
• Conduct regular safety audits
• Assist in tracking project timelines and milestones
• Prepare progress reports
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction crews

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of transportation construction experience
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a Civil Inspector/Engineer with a focus on heavy highway work
• Familiarity with local construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to earthworks construction and site development
• Attention to detail, proactive issue identification and resolution, ability to work outdoors and handle physical demands, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
