Responsibilities
- Verify all construction work meets approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards
- Monitor the implementation of construction drawings
- Identify and document any deviations or non-conformance issues
- Recommend corrective actions
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and standards on the construction site
- Conduct regular safety audits
- Assist in tracking project timelines and milestones
- Prepare progress reports
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction crews
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of transportation construction experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience as a Civil Inspector/Engineer with a focus on heavy highway work
- Familiarity with local construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to earthworks construction and site development
- Attention to detail, proactive issue identification and resolution, ability to work outdoors and handle physical demands, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
