Construction Inspector

Responsibilities

• Monitoring construction activities at a variety of job sites in field locations in the greater Connecticut area.
• Consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project managers in regards to plans, specifications, equipment, materials, and methods/practices involved in construction.
• Aiding resident engineers and other construction engineers/inspectors with a variety of related tasks.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer and mathematical skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity and engineering computations.
• The ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• A High School diploma required; AS, BS, or MS college degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• EIT/FE license, PE license, or NICET II or higher.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
