About the role
The Construction Inspector is responsible for inspecting underground water, wastewater, and stormwater pipeline projects to ensure compliance with city standards, contract specifications, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect underground water, wastewater, and stormwater pipeline projects
- Ensure compliance with city standards, contract specifications, and regulations
- Identify and report potential safety hazards
- Document findings and communicate with project managers and contractors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 2 years of related experience in construction inspection or similar field
- Knowledge of city, state, and federal regulations relevant to construction inspections
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of construction inspection procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles
