Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our growing team in Charleston, West Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of site development and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your growth. You’ll contribute to real projects from day one and continue developing your technical skills, field experience, and understanding of project delivery. Responsibilities Perform field testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with project specificationsOperate field equipment, including nuclear density gauges and other testing toolsDocument daily field activities, test results, and observations through clear and accurate reportingReview and interpret construction plans and specifications to support inspection activitiesCommunicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and project teams to maintain project quality and progressMaintain and calibrate field equipment to ensure accurate and reliable resultsTravel locally to job sites using company-provided vehicles Our West Virginia operation has grown to over 140 professionals and continues to expand across transportation, infrastructure, and site development services.
