We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our Tempe, Arizona office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop a thorough understanding of project scope, objectives, and technical requirements.
- Perform field observations and inspections to verify construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
- Manage the review and coordination of submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information (RFIs) to support efficient project execution.
- Prepare accurate daily field reports documenting construction progress, key activities, site conditions, and any issues requiring resolution.
- Serve as a key liaison between owners, contractors, and project stakeholders, fostering clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
- Review contractor Schedule of Values and payment applications to verify work completed and support accurate project billing.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor schedules, identifying potential risks and helping keep projects on track.
- Develop and manage project punch lists, coordinating with project teams to ensure timely completion and successful project closeout.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working in the Construction Industry, preferably as a Civil Construction Inspector, Field Engineer, or similar.
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction means & methods and quality control measures, along with knowledge and experience in water/waste-water construction is a plus.
- Proactive and self-motivated individual, able to meet challenging time constraints.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities.
- Familiar with Microsoft Project and P6 Scheduling software a plus.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete and or AWS Certifications is a plus.
