About the role
We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations during construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards and building codes
- Review plans and specifications for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Issue permits and make recommendations for improvements based on inspection findings
- Document all inspections and submit reports to relevant authorities
- Communicate with contractors and architects to address issues and resolve conflicts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection or related field
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with site visits and report writing
Skills
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD)
- Experience with project management software
- Knowledge of construction materials and methods
