Job Summary
The Construction Estimator accurately estimates projects by gathering qualified bids, reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents, and creating a market competitive cost position.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs and accurate, market competitive cost estimates.
- Create and compile detailed, accurate cost estimates.
- Obtain, organize, and analyze multiple subcontractor quotes across varying trades by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating price nationally.
- Collaborate with Operations on operational strategy and ensure alignment with cost position.
- Plot and route programs in mapping software systems such as Route4Me, etc.
- Consult with project managers, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Meet with clients and communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Host job walks and attend site visits.
- Support continued development of subcontractor database.
Qualifications
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- Expert knowledge and ability to work with Microsoft Excel.
- Driven, dependable, self-managed individual with focused attention to detail.

Education, Experience, Certifications
- Degree in construction related field a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a commercial construction estimator.
- Retail/Restaurant TI experience preferred.
- Programmatic rollout experience preferred.
- Mercanting & fixture experience preferred.
- Knowledge & understanding of the RFP Bid process.
- Knowledge & understanding of the CSI divisions.
- Existing vendor & subcontractor relationships a plus.
