About the role
Spartan Emergency Water Removal is a USMC Disabled Veteran-founded company specializing in water, fire, mold, storm, environmental, and reconstruction services. We proudly serve Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, Richmond and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality restoration and rebuild services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Accurate & Profitable Project Scopes: Conduct property inspections, complete project documentation and 3D scans, prepare detailed estimates, and ensure all opportunities are captured to maximize profitability.
- Manage Insurance Negotiations & Supplements: Serve as the primary liaison with insurance carriers, negotiate scopes, submit supplements, and maintain alignment between approved estimates and project budgets.
- Drive Customer Satisfaction & Revenue Growth: Guide homeowners through the estimating process, communicate pricing and timelines, identify upgrade opportunities, and manage change orders for out-of-scope work.
- Support Seamless Project Execution: Partner with Project Managers to ensure smooth project handoffs, provide ongoing estimating support throughout construction, and maintain accurate documentation in company systems.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in reconstruction, restoration, general contracting, or construction estimating.
- Proven track record of performing property inspections, taking precise measurements, and documenting structural damages.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA's)
- Software Proficiency- Estimating Platforms: Strong proficiency in Xactimate (writing both insurance and retail/bidding formats).
- Field Tech: Experience utilizing DocuSketch, Matterport, or similar 3D spatial rendering technologies.
- CRM Mastery: Deep proficiency in Albi (or similar restoration CRMs) as a project management and financial tracking tool.
- Construction Acumen: Deep understanding of residential construction methods, building codes, material grading, and the sequencing of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) trades.
- Sales & Negotiation: Professional composure and emotional intelligence to negotiate aggressively with adjusters and smoothly sell upgrades to homeowners.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs, and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Ability to stand, walk, or be onsite for extended periods.
- Ability to tolerate working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to drive to job sites regularly.
Schedule Expectations
Full-time, hours may vary based on job site needs.
