About the role
Flynn offers a more organized approach to commercial construction projects, focusing on repeatable processes and established trade relationships.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Developing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Creating and managing trade lists and subcontractor coverage
- Cooking with subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify scope
- Preparing quantity takeoffs and scope sheets for all trades
- Reviewing and finalizing bid packages for submission
- Tracking project files, coverage, and estimating progress
- Participating in internal bid reviews with leadership
- Supporting project handoff to operations after award
- Traveling to job sites as needed for walkthroughs and pre-bid meetings
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, scopes, and trade coordination
- Experience managing subcontractor relationships and bid coverage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple bids at once
- Proficiency with estimating software and basic office tools

Schedule
