This is a Contract to Hire, fully onsite position based in York, PA.

Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for commercial construction projects.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure alignment with project scope.
- Prepare bid proposals and support pre-bid meetings and site visits.
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams, clients, and subcontractors throughout the estimating process.
- Monitor project costs and update estimates as needed.
- Maintain estimating documentation, bid records, and compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Knowledge of current construction market pricing, materials, and labor costs.
- Experience with bid preparation and subcontractor evaluation.
- Understanding of value engineering principles.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Skills

Work Environment
- Office-based position with regular travel to project sites.

- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds and the ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and working at heights when necessary.
- Fast-paced environment requiring effective prioritization and management of multiple projects.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
