About the role

As a Full-Time Construction Estimator at Ackerman-Estvold Construction Management, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing precise cost estimates for construction projects, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses. Your analytical skills will shine as you assess project plans and specifications to determine feasibility and scope. Collaborating with vendors and suppliers, you'll negotiate competitive pricing for cost-effective procurement. Utilizing estimating software, you'll develop comprehensive cost reports and proposals, with a strong focus on digital record-keeping and professional communication, you'll facilitate efficient project coordination among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare precise cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Assess project plans and specifications to determine feasibility and scope.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing for cost-effective procurement.
  • Utilize estimating software to develop comprehensive cost reports and proposals.
  • Maintain digital record-keeping and professional communication to facilitate efficient project coordination among stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating and project management.
  • Proficiency in estimating software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple project estimates simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in construction technology or a bachelor's degree in construction management (preferred).

Pay

Competitive pay ranging from $32 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.
