About the role
The ideal candidate will support our Construction Administration group in Colorado Springs. They should have experience in on-site construction documentation, coordination with contractors, and ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve shop drawings, RFI's, and other technical submissions to ensure they meet design intent and comply with standards and specifications.
- Perform on-site assessments, observations, and quality checks to document progress of work through daily reporting.
- Aid project manager with schedule review, budget tracking, change orders, weekly progress meetings, and communicating project status to clients.
- Collaborate with other disciplines both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and understanding of engineering construction principles.
- Experience with Bluebeam, scheduling software, and Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) specifications.
- Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products including Word and Excel.
- Good intrapersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.
- Ability to travel to job sites and project offices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum from an ABET accredited school.
- Engineering Intern Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
- 2 years’ experience in general civil and/or transportation engineering construction.
- Ability to effectively work with other engineers and contractors.
Skills

$37.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
