Construction Engineer

Non-exempt position; overtime at 1.5× base rate for hours over 40 per week, or as required by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects.
• Provide financial management of projects from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service.
• Daily activities include schedule and financial management as well as interfacing with vendors via calls and meetings.
• Must have attention to detail, sense of urgency, and wireless network (cell site) construction experience, as well as technical aptitude with computers to navigate tools.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics or three or more years of work experience related to Macro Cell site Build.
• Experience in the wireless telecom industry, preferably Macro New Site Build or Modification Projects.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent team player; must be well organized and able to work under time pressure.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong technical and project management knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving skills, project planning, and time management.
• Knowledge and experience with the full suite of Google Workspace, including data analytical features such as PivotTable and VLOOKUPS.
• Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members and other cross-functional teams.
• Knowledgeable and very familiar with industry and cell site construction standards/practices.
• Prior experience in reviewing and evaluating Construction Drawings and Post-construction Close-out Packages.
• 3–5+ years of experience.

Desired Skills

• Prior work experience working with Client’s or Client’s tools (e.g., FUZE).
• Knowledge of or familiarity with Samsung RAN equipment.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Telecom technologies.
• Knowledge of RF, Transport, and Wireless Construction.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, competing priorities, and situations in which guidelines can change.
• Knowledge of HUB, CRAN & DRAN architecture.
• Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge of 5G Wireless Networks.
• Power, Space, and Cooling knowledge.

Pay

$45.00–$48.17/hour.
