About the role

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, seeks a Construction Engineer in its Woodridge, IL office. This position involves contributing to significant projects that transform communities and the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Document progress and conduct inspections to maintain project integrity.
  • Oversee and manage municipal construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
  • Prepare and present project reports and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations and codes.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates have 2 to 10 years of related experience.
  • EIT or PE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully managing municipal construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency in construction management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
