About the role
Parsons is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to support the FAA’s Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5). This role is part of the Federal Solutions team, delivering resources to US government customers.
Responsibilities
- Performs well-defined field engineering assignments involving constructability reviews and work observation.
- Maintains first-level quality assurance to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Aids construction personnel with technical details and resolves engineering problems.
- Coordinates schedule and progress appraisal data for area reviews.
- Maintains liaison with discipline design engineering staff and monitors construction schedules.
- Ensures timely material procurement and deliveries, and documents tests and inspections.
- Maintains liaison with construction management to address safety concerns.
- Maintains daily logs and construction discipline data for project turnover and reports.
- Maintains construction technical catalogs and supplier data.
- Assists field superintendents and construction management in complex activities.
- Performs other responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in field construction.
- Working knowledge of engineering and construction processes.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages.
Qualifications
- Security clearance not required.
