No prior teaching experience required. We provide a 5-day paid instructor training program to help you successfully transition into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach electrical trades classes on a regularly scheduled basis
- Create a welcoming and engaging learning environment for students
- Deliver hands-on instruction in classroom and lab settings
- Absorb and assist with curriculum development and course material preparation
- Maintain classroom tools, lab equipment, and instructional materials
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
- Submit evaluations, reports, and required documentation on time
- Support student retention and academic success initiatives
- Participate in instructor training, faculty meetings, and professional development
- Absorb and assist with equipment and supply inventory management
- Communicate student attendance concerns and performance issues to leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational, technical, or construction-related training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in the electrical or construction trades field. Experience as a Construction Electrician, Commercial Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Technician preferred. Previous vocational training or teaching experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and construction safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven educational environment. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. CampusNexus experience is a plus.
