Construction Design Engineer

About the role

Lunda Construction Company, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Construction Design Engineer to join their office in Rosemount, MN. Founded in 1938, Lunda Construction Co. specializes in heavy/highway, civil, and industrial general contracting, prioritizing safety and quality in all projects.

Responsibilities

• Design falsework for temporary structure support
• Design temporary bridges for construction access
• Design hydraulic systems for vertical / horizontal travel
• Design cofferdams and other soil retention systems
• Bridge analysis for construction equipment and demolition procedures
• Bridge analysis for steel/concrete beam erection stability
• Wood/steel formwork design for concrete slabs and walls
• Analysis of lifting equipment (hoists and rigging)
• Analysis and design of safety systems
• Analysis for barge stability under construction equipment loading
• Provide clear construction and shop drawings using CAD

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related studies
• Construction Engineering or Design experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software

Pay

$75,000 - $115,000 depending upon experience
