About the role
Our client is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their growing team, focusing on Insurance Defense matters, with an emphasis on Construction Defect Defense and Personal Injury Defense. This is a fully remote opportunity offering flexibility and strong long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle insurance defense matters, primarily Construction Defect Defense and/or Personal Injury Defense cases
- Manage assigned caseloads independently from intake through resolution
- Communicate effectively with insurance carriers, clients, and opposing counsel
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Maintain accurate billing and time entries
- Aid in litigation strategy, case evaluation, and settlement discussions
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California
- 3+ years of experience in Insurance Defense
- Primary experience in Construction Defect Defense or Personal Injury Defense (defense-side required)
- Strong litigation and case management skills
- Experience working with insurance carriers and claims handling
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Stable work history with demonstrated tenure of 18+ months at prior firms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both Construction Defect and Personal Injury Defense
- Based in Southern California (preferred but not required)
