Key Responsibilities
- Manage all litigation phases independently, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation.
- Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings and mediations.
- Develop advanced legal strategies and utilize e-discovery tools and case management systems.
- Provide legal advice and build strong client relationships by understanding their operations.
- Identify legal risks, ensure compliance, and support organizational process improvements.
- Mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff, and conduct training sessions.
- Ensure all legal documents are accurate, compliant, and ethically prepared.
Qualifications & Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Texas and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law and complex litigation.
- Experience with construction defect and commercial litigation is highly desirable.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with legal case management software and remote collaboration tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and client management skills, with leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Commitment to ethical practice and compliance with professional standards.
