Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all litigation phases independently, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation.
  • Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings and mediations.
  • Develop advanced legal strategies and utilize e-discovery tools and case management systems.
  • Provide legal advice and build strong client relationships by understanding their operations.
  • Identify legal risks, ensure compliance, and support organizational process improvements.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff, and conduct training sessions.
  • Ensure all legal documents are accurate, compliant, and ethically prepared.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Texas and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law and complex litigation.
  • Experience with construction defect and commercial litigation is highly desirable.
  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software and remote collaboration tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills, with leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and compliance with professional standards.
