Construction Defect Associate Attorney

About the role

The Construction Defect practice group is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their San Francisco or Walnut Creek offices. This role involves handling local and national accounts throughout California, managing a litigation caseload, and working in a hybrid or potentially fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload for construction defect cases.
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
• Review and analyze discovery requests; prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
• Prepare court filings and service to counsel, including e-filing.
• Provide trial preparation and support.
• Maintain accurate time records.
• Work in an organized and efficient manner while multi-tasking and analyzing complex matters.

Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction defect litigation.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of California.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions, including taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Capable of independent work.

Pay

$115,000 - $195,000 per year
