Construction Crew Lead

About the Role

The Construction Crew Lead oversees and performs repair work, leading a team (or teams) of repair persons to provide exceptional service and an exceptional product to customers. This role serves as the repair expert in moisture remediation, carpentry, and foundation work.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in completing and overseeing all repairs required with a two- or three-person crew.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise and communicate with the Operations Manager regarding changes.
• Manage the jobsite, ensuring safe and efficient workflow, quality, timeliness, materials purchase, work folder, and professional communication with customers and office staff.
• Manage tools on-site for each job, ensuring tools are available when needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Proactively plan to minimize additional trips for supplies.
• Follow instructions from management, provide daily updates on job status, and communicate inventory needs, including supplies for upcoming jobs.
• Schedule maintenance for tools, equipment, and vehicles.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with construction and repair, particularly in crawl space repairs, including structural repair (sills, girders, joists, subfloors, piers) and moisture remediation (interior French drains, moisture barriers, dehumidification systems).
• Ability to manage crew members to perform necessary repairs for structural or moisture remediation.
• Valid Driver’s License, ability to pass a DMV license check, and reliable transportation.
• Strong desire to reach and exceed set goals in all areas of the job.
• Excellent people skills and professionalism in interactions with customers (homeowners/B2B) and coworkers.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.

Pay

Starting wage: $17–28/hour, depending on experience.
