About the role

The Construction Coordinator (CC) plays a crucial role in overseeing water and wastewater capital projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time. This position requires collaboration with various departments and external parties to ensure compliance with regulations and community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with operations and engineering to develop and implement annual capital improvement plans.
  • Aids in creating annual capital budgets, evaluating alternatives, and managing project schedules.
  • Oversees construction activities to meet budget, scope, and timeline goals while ensuring compliance with company objectives.
  • Coordinates with multiple departments, contractors, and suppliers to manage construction phases.
  • Assists engineering in obtaining project permits and addressing regulatory requirements.
  • Manages construction inspections and ensures operational needs are met.
  • Manages project procurement and assists in preparing detailed designs and cost estimates.
  • Ensures project closeouts and updates water system records and data.
  • Acts as a Field Supervisor in the absence of the primary supervisor, managing daily operations.
  • Promotes a safety-first culture and addresses safety issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of construction experience, including cost estimating, contract document preparation, and project management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and databases.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, and WaterGEMS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range

$72,000.00 - $90,000.00
