Construction Coordinator II

About the role

We are hiring a Construction Coordinator to support SDU, MDU, and underground relocation projects. This role will coordinate with Local Business Partners (LBPs), municipalities, VDOT, counties, permitting teams, and internal departments to ensure construction work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SDU, MDU, and underground relocation construction projects.
• Manage and communicate with Local Business Partners (LBPs), municipalities, VDOT, and county representatives.
• Coordinate work requests and project requirements with permitting departments and internal teams.
• Track project progress, documentation, and invoicing using Excel spreadsheets.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure billing items are properly addressed.
• Perform quality control (QC) on completed construction work and identify potential issues.
• Review construction work to ensure it meets project requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain organized project records and follow up on outstanding action items.

Qualifications

• Cable construction experience preferred.
• Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong follow-up and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and data tracking.
• Ability to perform quality control on telecommunications construction projects.
• Ability to understand construction work and identify issues during QC inspections.

Preferred Experience

• Fiber and/or coax construction experience.
• Experience with SDU, MDU, or underground relocation projects.
• Experience coordinating with municipalities, VDOT, counties, or permitting departments.
