Construction Coordinator I - Wind - IL

Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Construction Coordinator I who can interact with various staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, traveling up to 100% with 100% travel expected. The position is not remote and requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and confidentiality. Sponsorships are not available. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize punch lists, inventory, and work production plans
• Process invoices and billing under supervision
• Train new project admins/clerks
• Perform basic inventory control
• Auxiliary tasks such as record retention and document controls
• Conduct basic field quality and safety inspections
• Document compliance with plans and specifications
• Propose potential solutions
• Promote Mortenson's safety culture
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous construction job site experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills
• Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle detailed information and meet deadlines
• Ability to multitask
• Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback
• Willingness to travel up to 100%
