About the Role

The Construction Coordinator manages all aspects of small to large transmission and distribution construction projects. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on project completion, including estimate preparation, scheduling, engineering, procurement, safety, construction, cost tracking, and project closeout. Additional responsibilities include managing work groups, special projects, and outage restoration efforts as part of a storm team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work required for construction projects, including materials, outage requests, engineering reviews, and redline documentation.
  • Collaborates with other departments to secure easements, permits, and ensure timely payments for construction schedules.
  • Resolves and investigates customer and contractor issues as they arise.
  • Ensures contractor compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards through onsite inspections, safety walks, job audits, and learning opportunities.
  • Promotes a positive, interactive safety culture.
  • Participates on a storm team and supports storm team operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a relevant discipline.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Transmission Construction or oversight/supervision of Transmission projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP preferred.
  • Fluency in English.
