Construction Contracts & Procurement Manager (contract)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Contracts & Procurement Manager to support a large-scale corporate real estate renovation initiative based in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension or conversion, located in Pittsburgh, PA, requiring 4 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Lead negotiations and execution of complex construction contracts, including AIA agreements, amendments, master service agreements, and project-specific construction contracts for large-scale capital projects.
Own the end-to-end RFP process, including developing bid strategies, evaluating proposals, managing vendor selection, and leading commercial negotiations for multiple concurrent construction projects.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with general contractors, architects, engineers, electricians, and other construction vendors while building strong supplier partnerships.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, scope, and commercial risk for multi-million-dollar renovation projects while ensuring compliance with company standards and procurement best practices.
Collaborate with Construction Project Managers, Sourcing Leadership, Legal, Finance, and senior business leaders to align procurement strategies with project objectives.
Maintain contract documentation, ensure compliance with procurement policies, manage contract lifecycle activities, and support consistent contracting practices across construction projects.
Manage approximately 10–15 concurrent renovation projects, supporting large office renovation and workplace transformation initiatives with contract expertise rather than project execution responsibilities.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in construction contracting, procurement, sourcing, or commercial contract negotiation.
Demonstrated experience negotiating AIA construction agreements and supporting capital construction projects.
Experience leading RFP/RFI processes, vendor selection, and commercial negotiations.
Experience supporting office renovations, commercial renovations or similar large-scale construction environments.
Experience managing contracts for multi-million-dollar construction or renovation projects.
Strong understanding of construction procurement, contract structures, and project delivery models.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with executive and senior leadership.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong contract review and negotiation skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience using contract lifecycle management or procurement tools such as Sirion, Ivalua, Oracle, or comparable systems.
Experience supporting construction programs valued at $10M+.
Previous experience working across multiple simultaneous construction projects in a fast-paced corporate environment.
