Construction & Commissioning Leader

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Construction & Commissioning Leader to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This leader will oversee construction and commissioning strategy for a highly specialized advanced nuclear environment, ensuring projects are executed with discipline, safety, and operational rigor. The role will guide a large team of technical experts and partners across site activities, balancing schedule, budget, quality, and scope. It will also drive process improvements, strengthen stakeholder alignment, and support efficient delivery of complex industrial work. Location: Wilmington, NC - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $220,000 – $320,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic initiatives for construction and commissioning in advanced nuclear operations.
• Implement best practices to ensure project delivery meets SQDC standards.
• Lead a diverse team of experts to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and quality policies for safety at project sites.
• Champion innovative solutions to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Oversee budget achievement and financial discipline in construction activities.
• Monitor execution of site activities to meet budget, time, scope, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in construction and commissioning within the energy or heavy industrial sector.
• Deep understanding of construction methodologies and commissioning processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational excellence.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
