Responsibilities
- Proactively leads the Procurement department in developing, training, and implementing procedures for direct project purchases, purchase order management, receiving, and storage of purchased items.
- Owes the end-to-end sourcing and purchasing performance for assigned material categories.
- Lead commercial negotiations with manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to secure pricing, rebates, and volume discounts.
- Develop and manage preferred vendor programs, perform performance reviews, and handle contract renewals.
- Build category roadmaps and aggregate demand data.
- Conduct spend analysis across suppliers, categories, and business units to identify consolidation opportunities, pricing variances, and savings potential.
- Drive PO centralization through collaboration with project managers and operations.
- Seek out and build group buying opportunities across all markets to ensure maximum cost savings and efficiencies.
- Manage all direct material purchases through requisitions.
- Maintain a useful and up-to-date vendor and material database for the organization using proprietary software.
- Communicate with management, project team, and warehouse personnel in the purchasing of direct project materials in a timely and economical manner.
- Create all group buy and stocking orders based on best value pricing, market need, and project requirements.
- Manage all purchase orders for direct costs, including office, warehouse, and field direct material purchases.
- Maintain procurement documents in an organized manner in Teams Procurement file.
- Maintain all preferred vendor lists and rebates.
- Support warehouse manager and Category Manager – Indirects with allocated material inventories.
- Promote and actively participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program and adhere to safe work practices.
- Learn, understand, and promote Chamberlin’s core values of safety, quality, and teamwork.

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
- At least two years of related experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in a commercial construction application.
- Skills: English speaking, computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, bilingual preferred, excellent communicator with internal sales ability.
- Abilities/Requirements: Must be able to analyze Excel and ERP systems, team build and implement new procedures across warehouse and operational teams, build relationships with vendors and structure group purchases with their support, work independently and lead by example, read and understand project specifications, be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, be authorized to work in the United States, be able to lift at least 50 lbs, work outside in changing weather conditions, work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary, and be looking for full-time employment with a desire to advance within the company.
- Education Required: High school diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
