Construction - Billboard Installer
About the role
Our Lamar office in Tyler, TX is now hiring a new Operations crew member to help us bring outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Tyler, Texas and surrounding areas. This job is action-packed, and we provide all the training and equipment to start your career in the outdoor advertising industry. The purpose of this position is to install and maintain billboards, including the installation of advertisements, maintenance of structures, and the upkeep of billboard cosmetics.
Responsibilities
This position most often works as part of an installation crew. A day in the life includes: installing and maintaining all billboards, removing and hanging flexes and vinyls, cutting and preparing flexes and vinyls for installation, maintaining structures, and repairing trim and various parts of the sign face and structure. Other responsibilities include building and installing extensions, conducting storm damage repairs, minor electrical repairs, and sweeping/cleaning workshop areas.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, the ability to speak and read English fluently, and basic computer skills. They must be willing to work and get along well with others and comply with Lamar safety standards while performing work.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a valid driver's license is necessary. The ability to complete an OSHA 10-hour Construction course is also required. Preferred certifications, depending on location, include CDL/Non-CDL, Crane, Signal, Rigging, or LDD. Previous experience working at heights up to 200 ft. above ground is preferred.

Skills
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of electrical skills and techniques, fabrication skills and techniques, and the ability to read technical documents, such as blueprints and diagrams. They will also have general knowledge of Lamar, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.

Pay
We offer an hourly rate of $18/hour, dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The work schedule is Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm, with nights spent away from home traveling less than 10%. On-call shifts may be required.
