Construction Bid and Contract Manager

About the role

As a Contracts & Risk Manager, you will support the pre-bid proposal and construction contract review process, identifying, evaluating, and proposing effective strategies to mitigate risks during the project pursuit and bid phase.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes proposal and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
• Identifies and pursues risk mitigation and risk transfer opportunities in close collaboration with the operational pursuit teams, business development, legal, insurance, and procurement.
• Collaborates with industry experts and committed teams to shape successful project outcomes and safeguard our interests.
• Develops risk transfer strategies for joint venture, design agreements and main subcontracts.
• Prepares opinions and facilitates executive decision making with respect to key issues in project pursuits.
• Develops risk review and control tools, including policies, processes and systems.
• Forms trustful relationships with stakeholders in estimating, business development, operations, and creates alignment on the Company’s risk management philosophies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience with construction project contracts required.
• Experience with contracts, negotiations, pursuit management preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required.
• Strong collaboration and team player attitude.
