Construction Associate Attorney
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Associate to join our Construction Group. The ideal candidate will have 3-12 years (5+ years preferred) of hands-on experience in construction law, real estate law, or commercial litigation.
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge with mechanics liens and lien foreclosures, RPAPL 881 proceedings, construction and design defects, and construction delays. Experience in negotiating and drafting construction agreements and license/access agreements is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Interact with other practice groups within the firm
- Handle every aspect of a construction matter from construction and design agreements to leasing to financing to any resulting litigation
- Advise the development community behind the latest hotel, residential, retail and arts projects in cutting-edge neighborhoods
- Represent clients in multiple segments of the construction industry, including developers, retailers, not-for-profit institutions, healthcare, educational facilities, banks, contractors, design professionals, and well-known artists and business professionals
Requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, legal analysis and negotiation skills
- Solid academic background
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to juggle multiple cases, work under tight deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Admission in New York is required

Pay
The good faith base annual salary range for this position is a minimum of $130,000 to a maximum of $215,000. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, applicable bar admissions, office location, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
Schedule
The Firm’s structure allows the practitioner the opportunity to interact with other practice groups. The firm maintains a hybrid schedule structured as Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in-office with the option to be remote on Mondays and Fridays.
