Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with estimating, bid preparation, and proposal support.
- Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
- Prepare billings and expedite payments.
- Estimate, prepare and negotiate Change Orders.
- Write subcontract Change Orders.
- Maintain and update project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and closeout materials.
- Cover with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely responses and workflow.
- Schedule and monitor progress against deadlines.
- Support budget tracking, invoice reviews, and cost reports.
- Participate in jobsite visits and help ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids.
- Write project procedures.
- Prepare Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements.
- Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
- Field experience (Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
- Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills.
- 3-4 years construction experience.
- 1+ years scheduling and estimating experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.).
- Willingness to learn and grow into a Project Manager role.
