Job Description Summary
Responsible for assisting other PMs in the planning, organizing, supervising, quality control, security and safety procedures on the assigned job sites, as well as accurate communication, detailing the daily progress and bringing attention to potential problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Project Manager and Construction team members in various tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle.
- Aid in managing the design and construction process, including coordination of schedule, bidding, construction administration and project closeout.
- Aid in managing scopes of work as assigned, i.e. estimating, scheduling, specific project management tasks, finance and contract administration.
- Identify problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job.
- Quality control to include verifying all materials received on the project.
- Aid in project control (budget, schedule, trend logs, etc.).
- Aid in creation of daily logs.
- Supervise job site activities to ensure adherence to safety and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years or more of direct hospitality or commercial construction and project management experience working for a developer, general contractor or project management firm.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with work experience in the field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook.
- Experience with Procore and/or other project management software preferred.
- General knowledge and understanding of commercial construction practices, processes, design, finance, and project management.
- Able to communicate verbally, electronically and in writing day to day updates and issues to other members of the project team.
