About The Role
Elite Homes, a subsidiary of Arbor Homes, is seeking an Assistant Builder to join their Louisville team. As an Assistant Builder, you'll support the quality construction of customer homes throughout the entire building process. You will assist in following company construction standards and manage customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise trade partners using job schedules and trade scopes of work.
- Oversee construction, inspections, and scheduling to ensure timely completion within allotted cycles.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards.
- Deliver a "Zero Punch List" home by overseeing finishing stages and correcting issues.
- Maintain community appearance, showcase homes, models, and sales centers.
- Communicate with Construction Superintendents, Sales Managers, Trades, and Homeowners.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on trade partner performance.
- Approve trade partner POs upon completion and verify material deliveries.
- Walk assigned homes twice daily to ensure quality and safety.
- Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and SWPPP compliance.
- Attend construction meetings and training classes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy and comfort with phone applications, word, and excel.
- Current Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Valid auto insurance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some college education preferred.
- Construction and/or customer relations experience.
