Construction Assembler
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Construction Assembler to join the Fibrebond team in Minden, LA. Fibrebond designs and manufactures pre-integrated modular buildings and power enclosures for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers.
About the role
The Construction Assembler is responsible for assembling structural wall systems and building components as part of a production crew. This role involves using hand and power tools to complete routine to semi-complex assembly tasks while following engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. The primary objective is delivering a finished product on time and in adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure work areas and buildings are clean and free of debris
- Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints to determine placement of carpentry and structural components
- Assist in cutting wall paneling and other carpentry components using various saws
- Apply glue to plywood and install walls and floors per specifications
- Install walls, ceiling paneling, and moldings using adhesives, fasteners, hand tools, and power tools
- Load and position wall panels and components during the assembly process
- Perform work involving insulation and cement as required by the build process
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the crew leader or supervisor
- Observe proper housekeeping and safety procedures, keeping equipment, tools, and work areas clean and orderly by performing 5S duties
- Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to leadership
- Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals and philosophies and encourages continuous improvement through teamwork
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Minden, LA (no relocation benefit offered)
- Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Qualifications
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to stand and bend for extended periods of time
- Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position
- Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, production, construction, industrial, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or Crown lifts; driver certification preferred
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices (e.g., hand grinder, saw, caulk gun)
Skills
- Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties using the principles of 5S and continuous improvement
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $16.50–$19.96 per hour. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
Schedule
Core hours average 54 per week (including overtime) between 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Overtime every other Saturday from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
