Construction Advisory Senior Managing Consultant

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting detailed analyses of project schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity, contracts, change orders and other issues related to design and construction.
  • Aiding in data gathering activities including document review and supervision, and quality control of data entry activities.
  • Demonstrating proper creation and documentation of work product.
  • Showing creativity and learning to efficiently use relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions.
  • Performing detailed research and analysis, then putting the results into action (e.g., gather, review, and summarize literature and data from the public domain, specialized industry resources, or client, public and commercial databases).
  • Auditing own work product and work product of others to assure quality.
  • Participating in a positive team environment and working hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • A BS degree with a focus in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • An MS/MBA is preferred;
  • Minimum six (6+) years of experience in Construction advisory service;
  • Experience in handling construction defect analysis and/or delays, productivity analysis and claims/Change Order Analysis;
  • Experience in investigative work focused on contractual claims and disputes;
  • Previous field experience on construction projects or working for a large general contractor as a project manager is beneficial;
  • Proven capability with MS Excel and other statistical analysis programs (e.g. SAS, SQL, SPSS, Stata, R) is preferred;
  • Commitment to producing high quality analysis and attention to details;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Desire to work within a team environment.
